How do I keep a page in every site scan?

Pin it. Open the site from Your sites, type the page’s address into Page to pin under Pages in every scan, and press Pin page. From the next run it is read every time, on top of the pages we sample, and it counts toward the site score. A site holds up to 25.

  1. Open the site

Pins belong to a site you have scanned with your account. Press Your sites in the header and open the site.

  2. Pin the page

Under Pages in every scan, type the page’s full address into Page to pin and press Pin page. The page says “Pinned. It will be scanned in every run from now on, and it counts toward the site score.” The page joins the list with a Pinned tag, and the count beside Pinned pages goes up by one.

  3. If the pin is refused

The reason appears under the box, with what you typed still in it. “That page is already pinned.” means there is nothing to do. “That page is on a different site.” means the page has to be on the site you opened, with or without www. “That is not a web address we can scan.” asks for the full link, starting with https://. With 25 pinned, it tells you to “Unpin one to add another.”

  4. Run the next scan

Pins apply to runs that start after you pin. Press Scan it again on the site’s page to start one: it fills in the form for you, and you press the button.

  5. Read the history after a pin change

Changing the pins changes which pages make up the score, so two runs with different pins are not set against each other. In the site’s history those steps read Not compared — the pinned pages changed, and they are drawn dashed.

  6. Unpin a page

Press Unpin beside it. From the next run, it is only read if the sample happens to choose it. Runs that already read it keep it.
