Who makes Bot Appétit?
Bot Appétit is built and run by Milk Moon Studio, a Webflow and web studio in the Overberg. Sites that machines can't read are the problem people hire us to solve. We built the scanner to show that problem plainly, for free, and we're here when you'd rather someone fixed it.
The studio
Milk Moon Studio builds websites in Webflow, from Swellendam in South Africa's Western Cape, and does AEO and SEO work on any platform. Bot Appétit came out of that work: we were running these checks by hand on every project, so we built a scanner that runs them for anyone. It reads a page the way a machine does and says, in plain English, what a machine can and can't use. Our Webflow SEO & AEO checklist lives here too.
The founder
Jakes van Eeden Founder and developer, Milk Moon Studio
Jakes leads Milk Moon Studio. It began before 2020 as a side hustle, with sites designed in Figma and built in Webflow during the dead of night. When South Africa went into lockdown, it became the main event: the studio specialised, and it is now a Webflow Premium Partner. Bot Appétit is the scanner he built so those checks stop being done by hand.
